One of my favorite markets in North America. The island itself has a lot going for it in it's many shops, galleries etc.. The Public Market is where I spend most of my time among the cheese, chocolate and meat shops. We bought muffins from Laurrelle's and meats/pate from Armando's.
The #50 bus goes from Canada Place down Granville Street and stops at the market. You can also take the Aquabus to the Yale District, Olympic Village or Science Center/Train station. We arrived by bus and left by Aquabus. The Aquabus used to be called the False Creek Ferry. The Aquabus isn't very fast but is fun and it works well.
