One year I thought we'd stay a month in Florence then I went there and was glad we didn't. Florence is a dirty, gritty town with too many tourists. We were here in late August so the tourists had subsided but it's still dirty. It's easy to idealize places like this due to their history but if you see clearly you'll wish the Italians spent a little time scrubbing things down.

We ran around, did the touristy things, only got made fun of to our faces once and then we left.
