Every year we go to Canada for Valentine's day.  For 2016 we chose Victoria British Columbia and went by way of the Victoria Clipper.

Victoria is a town of about 350,000 but feels like 100,000. It's so compact that we've never needed a car or public transportation although we've come close on a couple of occasions.

The exchange rate was about 1.40 CAD to 1.00 USD so it made Canada affordable.
