Casa Arnel
This is the "Hotel" that we stayed at while in Oaxaca. It's about 11 blocks from the Zocolo so it's very quite around here at night. The distance was nice and not so nice at times. It wasn't that big of a deal except at night when we really didn't want to walk. Other than that it was ideal. The center of the building is an open courtyard with a small travel library in it and talking parrots and a jungle. In the morning we would come down and eat breakfast at the long table with the other travelers which meant we got to meet other people. They also washed our clothes and allowed us to get on the internet (both for a price). We also took several tours from them. All for $45 a night. Unbelievable.
